Chanelle Sergerius clears it up for us in her recent FAQ post.
The point of these shoots is not to go out and destroy the dress as such. Here in Europe we call our sessions "Shoot The Dress" because of the fashion style element. These sessions are particularly popular with our destination weddings.

Just incase you missed it, TLC is all about the Brides this summer. With their new show
Rock the Reception and the return of
Say Yes to the Dress set launch on the 15th of July.
Rock the Reception will follow two couples thru their engagement as they learn a slightly over the top "First Dance". They are promising us laughter and tears but the jury is out until we see the season premiere.
Say Yes to the Dress for those that missed the first season takes place at the world famous Kleinfeld dress store in NY. Without a doubt this is a must see for everyone, regardless of your current marital status. It's a personal favorite and a guilty pleasure of mine watching the drama unfold as girls go out in search of the "Perfect Dress".

I'm nearly at a loss for words with this one.
Cheap Chic Weddings is once again holding their annual Toilet Paper Wedding Dress contest. Sponsored by Ripley's Believe it or Not and Charmin the contest is now entering it's 4th year. The guidelines:
Make a Wedding Dress of Charmin Toilet Paper, Tape and/or Glue ONLY. Submit 3 digital photos of your creation. Be sure to take one of the front view, one of the back and one from the side and send to contest@cheap-chic-weddings.com
And apparently there is an entire sub culture of TP wedding dresses on YouTube. Who knew!

If you haven't already noticed being "green" is really becoming all the rage this season. Designer Chris Kole has embraced the eco-friendly revolution in a new line called
The Cotton Bride.
"The Cotton Bride aspires to embody the spirit of our times with a fresh and enlightened collection of natural bridal gowns reflective of today's evolving values, lifestyles, interests and priorities..."
Using environmentally friendly natural cotton and with retail prices for the collection starting at $1800 I think Chris has a comfortable hit on his hands.
